Get ready for the Holidays

Bobby Week 4

Don't you just love those old western shows where the good guy rides off into the sunset at the end of the movie or when the criminal is shown being carted off to jail.  So I always wondered why these things were "comforting" to us. If you really think about it, its a guy riding a horse into the sun. You can't even see his face most of the time, just a sillouhette.  I can see how locking the bad guy up gives folks comfort but do they really have to see it? Well that is it isn't it. It's the thing itself. Its the proof in the pudding.  The audience is left with the visual idea that everything is going to be alright.  So what in the world does the have to do with me?

When I started this journey I told you I would put myself out there. I would allow you to follow me on my march to a lighter, healthier me.  Through the bumps in the road and the "small victories" and hopefully with the help of VIP weight loss, ending at a pretty great victory.

Drum roll please...  Here is the big reveal. After 4 whole weeks working with VIP weight loss, I have lost a total of 13.2 lbs!  I have enclosed the proof. I promise you there is much more coming.

Bobby Week 3:

Sometimes you get to the point where you just have so many irons in the fire that you are wondering if you are gonna have enough outlets to plug them all in.
Remember it?  That little thing that you were suppose to do...?  You know, excercise. Well, it takes a back seat.

I thought I would share my routine with you so you can see the error of my ways. Now my routine is not just something that I came up with but that VIP gave me some tips on in the beginning and then reinforced every week when I saw them.  I work from home so the temptations of the kitchen are still here all day long but I do not have the cravings like I used to with the phentermine/topiramate combo.

Anyway, I wait for the family to leave for school and I start my morning routine which is the important one. I start by taking my meds and drinking 2 glasses of water. I heard that this promotes a health circulatory system and the japenese have been doing this for many years. Why not it can't hurt. Then I do at least 20 minutes on the treadmill my wonderful mom loaned me.

After all of that I can then and only then check the emails that have been blowing up my phone since 6 AM.  It's tough because if I ever check my phone I am herding cats. So needless to say the other morning the phone dinged and I automatically without thinking picked it up rolled it over and saw a server alert. UGH! So, I missed my walking because I didn't stop that day until late that night.

Now here is where the choice gets made.  It's week three and I lost another 1.5 lbs this week. 8.5 total.  Do I choose to dwell on the negativity of me missing my walk or focus on the positivity of how far I have come to this point? I choose the later and you should too.  I chose to focus on the goals and move forward one day at a time.

Often we want to take on that new goal with headstrong enthusiasym, "Damn the torpedos full speed ahead" and then we see that we have bitten off more than we can chew and get discourage and finally quit.  Ever happened to you? Me too.  Here are some tips to help you accomplish those goals and stay on track for the long haul.

Take Action Daily
The only way to get any sort of result is to take action towards a goal. By taking action every single day you create momentum. As momentum increases, the weight loss results taken from your action will become much more substantial, and eventually you’ll be at a point where you actually can’t stop because you’ve reached the point of no return.

Celebrate Small Victories
When you assess the progress towards a goal you have choices. You can either focus on how far you have to go or look at how far you’ve come. When you do the latter, it tends to motivate and inspire you. When you do the former it demoralizes and demotivates you. We’re so caught up in getting to where we want to go that we forget to enjoy the journey and celebrate the small victories along the way.

    Learn from Setbacks
Setbacks and failure are a part of accomplishing anything worth doing in life. In almost every story of massive success that you’ll come across, there are MAJOR setbacks that took place. Setbacks are usually opportunity in disguise and we have to remember that sometimes we’ll take 2 steps back in order take 20 steps forward. If you look back over the course of your life you’ll notice the serendipitous nature of setbacks.

Keep Charging Forward
Many people tend to give up on a goal when they feel stuck or as though there is not light at the end of tunnel. One of the best ways to get past this is to adopt that attitude belief that when you feel the most frustrated and most ready to give up, you’re on the verge of a major breakthrough. It would be a shame to make so much progress towards a goal and abandon the pursuit in your final hours. Often, accomplishment occurs on the final hours of a goal.

Take a Break
We live in a world today where people seem intent on moving a million miles an hour. As a result people suffer from anxiety and diseases that didn’t exist before we got ourselves in such a hurry. It’s important to make a point daily to take a break from everything and do something without any purpose other than for the enjoyment of whatever you’re doing. Don’t walk for the sake of exercise. Just walk for the sake of walking.

Seperate yourself from the result
We are an instant gratification society. I want it NOW! If we don't see the results we want immediately, we want to give up.  What about all the time and effort you have put into yourself thus far? When you look in the mirror the day after you quit will you be happy? Just stay the course and let your feelings rest.  Do not allow them to take control and end what your have worked hard for just before it about to pay off.

A wise man once said, "Everything you want is on the other side of fear."  Live your life the way you want. If you are having trouble losing weight or low-t please let us help.  VIP
